good bye deluxe apartment in the sky
yep, that's right. we're moving. but, it really is the best kind of moving, because we BOUGHT A HOUSE IN ATLANTA!!! yes. we signed our life away to a precious little girl and we feel so grown up. i have so much to blog about, but i have had to set blogging aside for the past few weeks as i added packing/moving/decorating to my already overloaded plate. what's one more thing?! i think i'm just running on adrenaline over here. well, good bye park lane. you have been so good to us. i will miss the beautiful views of all the trees, the 4th of July fireworks, and the beautiful fall. i will not miss the daily elevator rides, hot kitchen, and the ladybugs. no, but seriously, i will always love you as our first home in atlanta and for being so good to us during these past two crazy years of our lives. just a few more days of packing and we will then be getting settled in our new home - crazy! i can't wait to decorate and make it ours. lots more photos to come over the next few months, i promise.

move in day
hello from atlanta! this first post from the peach state is a bit delayed due to lack of internet and free time. move in day was 10 days ago and i am still hard at work getting our new home just right. comical story from move in day: our couch would not fit in the condo's elevator {old building and extremely small elevator} so our movers walked it up 10 flights of stairs. i was waiting at the top with water and cookies praying that everyone would survive {including the couch}. unfortunately the couch was not able to turn the corner to our unit. wait, what?! after all that, it still didn't fit? yes. so, back down they went with our couch as i stood there without my cookies and now without a couch. thankfully we found a home for the couch quickly. i guess it was just the Lord telling me it was okay to update my college couch and get a more grown up look :) the rest of the day went pretty smoothly and we ended the move in day with pizza for good luck, as dad says, from our new neighborhood spot, fellinis.

the eve of the big move

well, it's the eve of the big move.
the move to the city, that is.
we have been packing and loading
and packing some more.
we keep finding more stuff
and tossing it in the uhaul and stuffing it in the car.
oh, how fun!
the best part of the afternoon?
when the cupcake fairy delivered these sweet ones.
take a break from loading? sure, why not.

i think God made packing so miserable so leaving wouldn't be as hard.
our last night in sweet Auburn:
amsterdams, duh
and fro yo with some friends.
i'm going to miss these simple days...
ATLANTA, HERE WE COME!

the ends are beginning

here we are looking so fresh and so young at the beginning of my first year. leopard love to everyone!
after i cleaned up my classroom and turned in my keys, summer began with a going away party for the harts. i will never forget the day i met chane' at teacher orientation and what a gift our friendship was during our time in auburn!
gosh, the ends are actually beginning which is so surreal. ahhh i hate good byes and y'all know how much i love packing!in the meantime, i am going to soak up every bit of summer! i have been enjoying ellen in the mornings, mid day gym visits, living in my pjs, lunch dates, and pampering myself with a hair cut. what's next on my calendar? oh just a little, okay LOT of organizing and packing! we will be living out of our suitcases during the month of june as we travel what feels like the world. get excited, because i am packing my camera and my appetite!

moving on up
so, what has been going on in the mccrary household lately? a lot. we had our second yard sale two weekends ago with the harts and had a blast. tyler especially loved the scooter while i loved soaking up some rays! the weather was perfect and the crowds were entertaining as all yard sales go. we didn't have much to sell, but what we did have to sell, sold and earned us some date night money {amsterdams, duh}. the bike is gone now, just in case you were wondering. what are we selling now? oh, just my car. moving to the city = desperate need of a fuel efficient car.
speaking of moving to the city, we will all be moving on up to our respective cities soon. we are definitely going to miss hanging out with the harts :( we do have some exciting news though to share about our move to the atl...
last weekend we got a call from our realtor that a new condo was up for rent at one of our favorite buildings. we jumped in the car and 85ed it to the city. i am so thankful that we were able to see it, because it.is.perfect. definitely the best thing we have seen. two bedroom, two bath, hard wood floors, washer and dryer, wonderful work out facility and lots of natural light. a dream! we have been making many trips to atlanta to find the perfect spot to call home and i believe we are finally done searching. the Lord has provided and i am so excited about living in the city. i mean, come on, who wouldn't want this view???

i [use to] hate packing
what have we been up to lately? oh just packing up our house, moving stuff to storage, preparing for our first yard sale, packing for the beach, packing for the summer, getting a summer job, managing our schedules, taking finals, and wrapping up my first school year. man, have i been bored! {ha} i really feel that the Lord has given me superhero strength to handle all of this mess. for the past two weeks i have been waking up at 6 am, packing/cleaning/pricing before going to work all day where multiple to-do lists await for me. after spending the day with middle schoolers, more packing awaits, along with the daily chores. can i just tell you how much i am looking forward to some vacation?
now i know having a yard sale at the end of may is probably going to make life even that much more stressful, but it has really helped me in the packing process. i can either pack something and move it, or sell it....hmmm let me think about it...SELL! i despise packing and we both tend to be a little packrat-ish which makes moving even that much harder. it is crazy how much stuff we have accumulated in just under a year of marriage! i can't wait to clean out everything and simplify our lives. i am tired of moving around junk and then cramming it in a closet. i am becoming a firm believer in the "less is more" theory.
i am excited to experience my first yard sale and make a little money! my friend jenny and i are joining forces to hopefully bring in a large crowd. the yard sale is motivating my packing and moving and also {hopefully} going to help me get closer to buying a new camera. i am still trying to decide between the nikon or canon route. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
