the amazing erik clausen. see our wedding here.
i bought my wedding dress at cc's boutique in st. petersburg, florida. the dress was made for the boutique, so there is no designer name attached to her. my journey to find her was quite extensive. i searched 13 different boutiques in atlanta and finally went home to a familiar shop to find the perfect dress. what made my journey so difficult? i did not want a strapless wedding gown - i wanted little sleeves. i also knew that i wanted lace, a train, and buttons down the back. i wanted the dress to be elegant and romantic without being a cinderella gown. i knew what i wanted, it was just a challenge to find - i'd say similar to finding mr. right.
the hair.
my hair stylist was one of my bridesmaids, lindsay. i know, i know, she is fabulous. i wanted my hair all up so i wouldn't have to worry about it and i wanted it to be soft and romantic. in the photo above she is adding the final touch to my hair: her family's vintage diamond broach as my something borrowed.
for my makeup, we had our makeup friend jodi of meaningful makeup work her magic. she used my favorite line of makeup, bobbie brown. jodi was fabulous. to see more of her work, visit her facebook page. for my inspiration, i found this picture of nicole kidman:
the groom's attire.
tyler wore a black tuxedo with a french pleated shirt, suspenders, and bowtie. so handsome!
the bridesmaids.
the bridesmaids.
the bridesmaids' dresses were from priscilla of boston . i loved the flattering sweetheart neckline and the thin little straps. i also loved the ivory top and the blush pink bottom that flowed just right. so romantic
and feminine.
the shoes were kelly and katie from dsw . they were on sale {yay} and the perfect shade of gold. i loved the ankle strap and the high heel. my bridesmaids were troupers in these heels, and they looked so good! also in this picture you will see a little blue hankie. i gave each of my bridesmaids a different vintage hankie that i found at an antique store.
