open house party

saturday night we had a little open house party.  i have been working lots this summer to get our house somewhat presentable so we could open our doors and have us a party! oh yeah, above is a little photo of our sweet little girl. i forgot that i haven't shown you what she looks like.  i feel like i have, but it was just on instagram (@kathrynmccrary). lots of hard work and trips to homegoods/target/home depot paid off and i finally feel like this is our home. i promise to share some more photos of the house soon. until then, enjoy the party pics::

roadside beauty

yesterday, i visited the beautiful and magical serenbe.  it was my very first time to visit and the day could not have been more perfect.  it's hard to explain serenbe because there really isn't anything else out there that is quite like it.  it's farm life done right; fashionably, that is.  check out their website to see more.  on my drive in i was so distracted by the beautiful morning light surrounding the fields that i was that girl and pulled over to grab these shots.  once my eyes were refreshed, i continued my way in to serenbe where i attended a CAMP workshop for photographers and stylists.  it was a full day of fun, collaborating, and learning from some of the bests.  photos of my styled shoot coming soon!

my birthday party

my birthday was this monday, so last weekend we decided to celebrate early with friends at atlanta's monday night brewery.  the sister and her boyfriend actually surprised me at our house before we all headed over to party at mnb.  it was so great to see them and it really made my birthday special.  she even brought me my favorite cake from athens - cecilia's red velvet.  i know, i've already nominated her for sister of the year.  she's definitely the best sister we could ever ask for.  also, how cute is that picture of tyler and her walking? melt.my.heart.  we always said we wanted a brother growing up and now she has one. it really is awesome.  thank you everyone for coming out to celebrate! it was such a sweet afternoon with friends. and yay i'm now 26! i have been accidentally lying about my age recently and saying that i was already 26.  it's nice that i can finally be honest.  it's hard being the baby of the group, but i wouldn't trade my summer birthday for any other season :)

lake weekend with the daniels and company. one of the best weekends we've had in a while. relaxation, good weather, amazing food, and sweet time with friends. oh, and really cute puppies too! until next time, lake lanier.
